Bronson Jr./Sr. High School is a public school located in Bronson, Michigan. It serves grades 7β12.
Bronson Jr./Sr. High School was built in 1964. At first it accommodated grades 9β12. In 1980 the school made a transfer of 7thβ8th graders from Bronson Middle School (which later became Chicago Street School). In 1998 a science/technology addition was built and completed, and in 2002 a weight and wrestling/all-purpose room was added.[1]
Bronson is a Class C school and a member of the St. Joseph Valley League. Sports offered include tennis, track, basketball, golf, volleyball, wrestling, softball, baseball, cheerleading, and football.
Bronson has had several of its coaches honored by various coaching organizations. In 1987, the Michigan High School Football Coached Association (MHSFCA) honored Coach Charles Hilton for his football coaching. In 1991, the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) was pleased to have Coach Bill Zabonick as part of BCAMs' hall of fame. In 2006, the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association (MIVCA) honored Coach Jean LaClair.[2]
